The cold and the climb.

This cold weather has been the death of any attempt or desire of me getting outside to be active in any way, especially when it comes to running! Every year I despise the western Pennsylvania winters more and more. Some day it will warm up, but that day cannot come soon enough.
In other matters, over the weekend I had the great opportunity to work at Seneca Hills as a belayer on their climbing wall. In the end I helped thirty to forty kids climb. This tied in perfectly with my outdoor pursuits class at Slippery Rock University because we are currently in the middle of our climbing/rock wall unit. It also made me realize how much I really enjoy the outdoor/adventure activities approach to being a physical education teacher.

  1. I second that notion the cold weather keeps me inside and i feel like I waste so much more time inside. It is not like when we were kids and enjoyed the snow that is why I want to go down south after graduation. Hopefully that day will come soon for the both of us.
